Location: Unit 9, 165 East Beaver Creek Road, Richmond Hill, ON (In-person & Virtual)

Living Water Counselling Centre (LWCC) is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing professional psychotherapy, couple and family therapy, psycho-education, community wellness and training programs. Grounded in a Christian foundation, LWCC seeks to build a caring community where individuals and families grow toward “Wholeness of Life” across physical, mental, spiritual, and social dimensions. 

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking competent, spiritually mature, and emotionally grounded Registered Psychotherapists (or equivalent licensed professionals) to join our clinical team on a flexible, self-employed basis. This role offers 3 to 15 hours per week of clinical practice, serving individuals, couples, and families through both in-person and online modalities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive assigned cases from our internal intake team and conduct clinical assessments and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families.  
  • Maintain timely, secure, and professional documentation in alignment with CRPO standards and LWCC clinical guidelines.  
  • Maintain flexible working hours (including potential evenings or weekends) based on client and agency needs.  
  • Support LWCC’s mission by participating in select community engagement, special events, or promotional activities. 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent post-graduate degree) in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Pastoral Counselling.  
  • Licensing: Active, full registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as an RP, or equivalent full license (RSW/OCSWSSW, OAMFT, CCPA).
    • Note: Candidates registered as RP (Qualifying) are not eligible for this position. 
  • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of clinical practice providing individual, couple, or family therapy.  
  • Insurance: Active personal professional liability insurance.  
  • Alignment: Strong alignment with LWCC’s vision, mission, and core values.  
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a required.

We are expanding our community psycho-educational offerings by developing hands-on, lifestyle based Holistic Health Programs. We are seeking passionate, skilled instructors to design and lead engaging workshops that seamlessly integrate professional expertise with LWCC’s core values—fostering resilience, mindfulness, self-care, and meaningful connection.

Open Instructor Discipline Categories

  • Pastry Arts & Baking Specialist (甜品師 / 烘焙師): Using baking as a medium for mindfulness, patience, stress reduction, and communal sharing.
  • Barista & Specialty Coffee Specialist (咖啡師): Sensory awareness, slow-living practices, and creating space for deep conversation.
  • Professional Makeup & Aesthetic Artistry Specialist (化裝美容師): Promoting authentic self-esteem, self-expression, self-compassion, and body positivity.
  • Mindful Movement & Pilates Facilitator (普拉提導師): Mind-body integration, bodily awareness, physical resilience, and somatic stress release.
  • Expressive Art Therapy & Visual Arts Facilitator (藝術治療導師): Expressive arts for emotional release, non-verbal communication, and inner healing.
  • Floral Design & Botanical Arts Facilitator (花藝師): Nature connection, creative reflection, and cultivating balance through floral arrangement.

Key Qualifications & Expectations

  • Mission Alignment: Full agreement with and commitment to LWCC’s mission, vision, and core values (Wholeness of Life, Hope, Connection, Empowering, and Transforming). 
  • Holistic Health Integration: Ability to go beyond technical skills to incorporate psychoeducational themes, self-care practices, or personal growth concepts into course design. 
  • Professional Expertise: Recognized experience, certification, or portfolio in the relevant discipline.
  • Facilitation Skills: Warm, empathetic teaching style suitable for diverse community groups (individual, family, or group settings). 
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English (multilingual skills serving the community are an asset). 

Remuneration:  As a non-profit charitable initiative, LWCC provides a modest honorarium per session/course. Applicants should be driven primarily by community service, personal mission alignment, and social contribution rather than standard commercial rates.
